LDP at the 10th ATRANS

On 18 August 2017, four LDP members including Pol Col Jinda Klubklaye, Pol Lt Gen Amornchai Leelakajonjit, Pisith Wongthiathana and Thanachart Paliyawate, together with AIP Thailand country manager Oratai Junsuwanaruk attended the 10th ATRANS Annual Conference at Radisson Blu Hotel, Bangkok.

At the Conference, which was presided over by Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Thanachart Paliyawate and Pol Col Jinda Klubklaye presented their study on legal measures to increase road safety for pedestrians in which they discussed pedestrian rights, the importance of road crossings for pedestrians, the lack of legal protection for pedestrians in Thailand and pedestrians as a contributing factor to road crashes. Read their study here.

Meanwhile, Prof Dr Pichai Taneerananon and four other panelists on mobility and road safety managements agreed that the development of Safe System and Safety Culture and healthy engagement between academia and government are a critical part of ensuring effective and informed policymaking.
