It has been a while but this week we are bringing you the latest instalment in the Road Safety Legislation with LDP series, “Practical Approach for Improving Safety of School Transport in Thailand”. The paper, written by LDP member Thanachart Paliyawate and presented at the11th Asian Transportation Research Society (ATRANS) Annual Conference in Bangkok last week, discusses the many challenges of providing safe school transport in Thailand and offers practical solutions that include providing technial and financial support for provision of safe private hire vehicles (PHV) to setting up a joint committee to assign management point.
