LDP and WHO met with Transport Minister to discuss road safety and submit policy recommendations

On 20 September 2019, the LDP team and representatives from the World Health Organisation (WHO) Thailand met with Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob to discuss the global and national road safety situation and submit policy recommendations concerning a range of issues including the creation of the Road Traffic Safety Centre, motorcycle safety measures, the 12 global road safety targets, investment in infrastructure to ensure a minimum 3-star (IRAP) standard for all road users, and Thailand’s participation in the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, which is set to be held in February 2020 in Sweden.
